Connect Groups

Connect With God

As part of a connect group we are able to learn together, deepening our relationship with Jesus, understanding more about the Bible and how we apply scriptural principles to our everyday lives.

Connect With Each Other

We are a growing family here at St Peter’s and it is so important that everyone feels that they are known deeply and loved by our community. As part of a connect group, we are able to get to know each other on a deeper level, supporting and praying for one another.

English Language Lessons/ ESOL

Our English language/ ESOL lessons run three times a week, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 10.30am-12.30pm in term-time only.

Wednesdays: Pre-Entry, Entry 2/3 and Advanced classes

Thursdays: Entry 1 and Entry 2/3 classes

Fridays: Entry 1 and Pre-Entry classes

These classes are mainly conversational, to help with speaking and listening and to build confidence and community.

Families

JAM Club

Every Thursday from 3.15 – 5.00pm in term time only.

For families with kids aged 5 to 12 years old, join our Jesus and Me club for a fun time of learning about the Bible with games, crafts and activities.

Zumbini

Every Friday from 10.30 – 12.00pm in term time only.

Mum’s and Tots Bible and Zumbini class, for parents with under 2s, bible study, social time and interactive play for little ones.

Youth

Youth Hub

Open on Tuesdays 3- 5.30 pm in term-time only.

Youth Hub provides a space for young people in years 7-12 to enjoy some down time together after school in a safe environment, allowing them to stay off the streets where they are vulnerable to criminal activity.

We have lots to do including pool, table tennis, air hockey, PS4s and arcade games and food, all completely free of charge. Every term we invite in others to teach a variety of different courses from boxing to cooking classes!

Youth Bible Study

Join on Fridays at 3pm to spend quality time together, learn more about faith and the Bible and enjoy some great snacks too!

Community Activities

Community Lunch provided by FoodCycle

Every Wednesday, 1.30 – 2.00, FoodCycle provides a free hot lunch to anyone in the community who would like to join us for a meal and social time together!

Community Litter Pick

We love Hillfields and want to bless our local community and environment by keeping it clean and tidy! Every 4-6 weeks we gather on a Saturday morning, put on our high-viz jackets, and go out and pick up litter around the neighbourhood!

Check the events calendar for the date of the next litter pick. Meet at 10:45, start at 11:00 and finish at 12:30pm.

Arts & Crafts Classes

Express Yourself Through Art

Mondays 10.30 – 1pm term- time only. Join our free art class to enjoy creative painting with others, no experience needed.

Community Craft Class

Fridays 1.00 – 3.00 term-time only. Join our free craft class to learn more about sewing, crochet, knitting and much more.

Groups

Choir

Join the choir on Monday evenings. Doors open at 6.30pm for teas and coffees and singing begins 7.00 – 9.00pm. You don’t need any experience to join, all singing levels are welcome for a great community time learning to sing together. Performances are often during Sunday services and sometimes larger community events.

ESOL Bible Study

Fridays 10.30 – 12.30 pm term-time only. Bible study welcoming those whose first language is not English.
